The UVM is located in the fifth region of Chile, just one and half hours from Santiago and 20 minutes from the historical coastal city of Valparaiso. Being the main area responsible for the management of joint processes and related activities the main objective is to support the process of institutional internationalization.

As part of the institutional policy and strategic plan development, the Universidad Viña del Mar has declared and pledged to strengthen its relationship with the environment as a cornerstone of his vision and institutional mission.


The UVM has four campuses located in Viña del Mar that aim to provide students with the most accommodating academic environment that allows them to have the tools necessary to learn, study, and have recreational spaces for them to pass time between classes.
Each of our campuses houses its own library with volumes of books dedicated to each campus’s fields of study. Our campuses also house computer labs and recreations spaces for students to use in-between classes.

The UVM’s main campus is located in Rodelillo, Viña del Mar. The UVM has shuttles with a regular schedule to facilitate the arrival and departure to this campus for no charge to the students.
Our Rodelillo campus houses our modern gymnasium, professional sized soccer field, Library, Microvinification Research Plant, as well as a Veterinary Hospital that treats animals from the local community.
The Schools of Health Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, Education, Communications, and Engineering all have their departments located in this campus.

The UVM also counts on the Diego Portales Campus, located in the residential neighborhood of Recreo, is home to the Business School.

The Miraflores campus houses our Schools of Social Sciences and Architecture and Design.

The International Campus of the UVM is located at Calle Montaña, where all Spanish as a Second Language and Semester in English classes are held. This campus is located downtown next to the beautiful Quinta Vergara Park where students can go to study in between classes, and enjoy their lunch on nice days.
The UVM’s International Campus has a cultural and historical background, as it was once home to the Chilean folk band, Los Jaivas, and houses a permanent exposition of their childhood photos, and musical instruments.

Extracurricular Activities

The Department of Student Affairs (DAE) with the Universidad Viña del Mar is dedicated to providing the UVM students with an integral development through the completion and participation in activities designed to develop leadership, entrepreneurship consistent with the educational model and vales of the University.
Its purpose is to manage and coordinate the activities that contribute to linking students with outside entities that promote the participation in charity activities, recreational, and public support.
